Kevin Harvick is notorious for yelling at his pit crew during races whether it is his Budweiser Cup series pit crew, or the crews for his KHI teams. During the 2010 Chase his pit crew was swapped with Clint Bowyer's pit crew, and it seemed that the pit crew woes had subsided a bit. But yesterday at Michigan International Speedway Harvick's pit crew problems came back strong. His team continually dropped spots on pit road, and also cost Harvick many spots on the first stop by dropping a lug nut. Harvick as usual was extremely angry with his crew, as was team owner Richard Childress. Well today a change was finally made.

According to SPEED sources, RCR pit crew coach Matt Clark was released today. Clark had been with the team since January of 2008. Since Clark took over as pit crew coach, Jeff Burton's 31 team won the 2009 Pit Crew Challenge, and finished runner-up to Denny Hamlin's pit crew in 2010.

We shall have to wait and see if the change helps Harvick and the rest of RCR teams on pit road or if the problems continue to plague the team.

Could Gil Martin Be On The Hot Seat? According to Chris Meyers of NASCAR on FOX's prerace show and Inside NASCAR on Showtime Gil Martin may be out as crew chief of the number 29 Budweiser Chevrolet. But according to Kevin Harvick, that is most certainly not the case. Harvick tweeted today in response to Meyers "Your report is so off base it's not even funny... Check your then report your news..."
